Sandbox solution

I tried activating this using the sandbox feature and I can not. Do you plan to have a solution that will work in the sandbox? We can install this to the farm. We don't allow custom code to be installed to the backend.

I got the same error as send2mark.

"This solution contains invalid markup or elements that cannot be deployed as part of a sandboxed solution. Solution manifest for solution 'e738acc6-4cd1-4c0e-8add-412819a31a57' failed validation."

I understand that when it's set up this way, it must be Activated at the Farm-level. Unfortunately, I only have Site Collection Admin access. Can this be deployed as a Sandboxed solution?

It doesn't work for Foundation - Ratings are only enabled in the server or enterprise edition.

And yes, it can be a sandbox solution. You need to take the code and compile it as a sandbox version.

Joe - again, you must download the project, change the Scope to be a Sandbox solution, recompile and deploy.

diskojoe, have you made a sandbox solution? I don't know how or have the software to do that?

David, how did you manage to convert it to a sandbox solution? After changing type of project to a sandbox one, I'm receiving following error:

The base class or interface 'Microsoft.SharePoint.WebControls.BaseFieldControl' in assembly 'Microsoft.SharePoint, Version=14.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c' referenced by type 'Microsoft.SharePoint.Portal.WebControls.AverageRatingFieldControl' could not be resolved c:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\ISAPI\microsoft.sharepoint.portal.dll

It seems that BaseFieldControl (a class that AverageRatingFieldControl inherits from) is unavailable in sandbox.

You have to be using Server – Foundation does not have ratings.

Hi,
We have Server and we do use ratings. Your solution works great when deployed at farm level, so it's not the cause. The problem is with BaseFieldControl, I just can't make it work in Sandbox.

I will have to take a look – I both (Farm and Sandbox) but am away from the office. What is the error?
